PROJECT UPDATES
A Visionary Client
LADWP is the nation’s largest municipal utility and a leader in the green building space. They engaged VG to conduct a study of the 21 most widely-used green building rating systems. The groundbreaking research will allow LADWP to better determine which system(s) are a fit for each of their properties.
VG was also brought on to support LADWP as they pursue WELL, LEED, Net Zero, and JUST certifications across multiple projects.
And The Winner Is…
Verdical Group provided Net Zero Consulting and a Renewable Energy Assesment for The Recording Academy’s Santa Monica Facility.
The Recording Academy has produced the GRAMMY Awards since 1958.
Their 65,000 square-foot office is targeting net zero energy performance through energy conservation measures and the installation of solar panels.
HIGHLIGHT | THE ROBIN HOOD GALA
Hosted annually, the Robin Hood Gala is Verdical Group’s signature event designed to support our community through thoughtful philanthropy.
This year’s Gala benefited the Skid Row Housing Trust, a 501(c)(3) organization that offers more than 1,800 homes to individuals who have experienced homelessness. Thank you to all who attended—check out the highlights from the night below.

Chloe Woodruff | Marketing Manager
Chloe has joined VG’s team as our newest member! As the Marketing team lead, she is responsible for implementing innovative marketing strategies across our brand.
Having worked as the Communications Associate at Urban Green Council, the New York affiliate of the USGBC, and as the Digital Media & Communications Associate at the Los Angeles Better Buildings Challenge, Chloe comes to VG with experience in marketing, design, and the green building industry. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Urban & Environmental Policy from Occidental College.

Beanies in hand, Verdical Group headed to Chicago in November for the Greenbuild International Conference & Expo, where we co-hosted the late-night Greenbuild After Party for the fourth consecutive year. We loved catching up with old friends and making new ones—the sessions weren’t bad, either!
It’s easy to get lost in the day-to-day. Aggregating metrics across our projects helps our team at Verdical Group see the bigger picture—by quantifying the energy and water savings, waste diversion, and educational impact of our projects, we stay motivated and driven to do the crucial environmental work we do every day.
Verdical Group’s beautiful Sunset Las Palmas project was featured in the Business section of the Los Angeles Times print edition. The greenhouse-inspired studio, which is targeting LEED BD+C v3 Gold certification, will function as an office space for the city’s creative leaders.
‘Tis the Season! Verdical Group was thrilled to attend the Young Professionals in Energy, Johnson Fain, AC Martin, Passive House, and Living Building Challenge LA Holiday Parties and USGBC LA’s Green Gala.
