VG Experts Talk Embodied Carbon with the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure
Verdical Group’s Director of Projects, Rebecca Ramsdale, and Senior Project Manager & Energy Engineer Frank Schwamborn recently joined the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure (ISI), the creators of the Envision, for a virtual workshop focused on net embodied carbon. Michelle Christopherson of WSP presented after the duo, speaking about the application of the concepts outlined by the Verdical Group team.
The presentation defined common carbon-related terms, explained how embodied carbon is measured and tracked, and discussed strategies for how to reduce your projects’ carbon footprints. Our team walked the audience through solutions to real-life hurdles in order to make significant greenhouse gas emissions reductions.
