Verdical Group’s Winter 2020 Update

PCL Glendale District Office

Verdical Group worked with PCL Construction Services to provide LEED v4 ID+C Silver Certification, LEED Fundamental & Enhanced Commissioning, and CALGreen Commissioning for their Glendale, CA office. This was a tenant improvement project for PCL’s 28,507-square-foot office space. The project was one of the first to achieve a COVID-response LEED pilot credit.

LAX Terminal Cores

Verdical Group is providing LEED v4 Project Management for the construction phase of two terminal cores at Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA)’s Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) in Southern California. We’re working with Austin Commercial to achieve BD+C Silver certification for both cores, one 98,989 square feet in area and the other 180,146 square feet in area. LAX is the fourth busiest airport in the world.

In addition to hosting our own Net Zero Conference, Verdical has a team of event planning consultants dedicated to producing top-of-the-line sustainable events.

We’ll help you take your event online by working with a digital platform, helping to finalize your program, coordinating speakers, and whatever else you need.

Verdical Group’s Founder and CEO Drew Shula has been named a 2020 LEED Fellow by Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI). LEED Fellows are exceptional practitioners and leaders within the green building community who have demonstrated mastery of the technical application of LEED, the world’s most widely used green building rating system.

The award was presented virtually at this year’s Greenbuild. Shula is one of just six individuals ever to receive both the LEED Fellow and Living Future Hero Award.

The International Living Future Institute (ILFI) has honored Verdical Group’s CEO Drew Shula with a 2020 Living Future Hero Award. Presented at their virtual Living Future 2020 Online Conference, the largest annual event on regenerative design and sustainable green building, the Hero Awards honor leaders from around the world who are leading in environmental advocacy.

Shula is a Founding Steering Committee member of the Living Building Challenge Los Angeles Collaborative and a frequent speaker on net zero and high-performance buildings.
