Verdical Group announced our 2022 Trailblazer Awardees at the annual Trailblazer Awards & Gala on September 15, 2022. The event was held at the LEED Platinum-certified South Park Center in Downtown Los Angeles as part of our Net Zero Conference.
The Trailblazer Awards celebrate leaders who are working to build a net zero future. This year’s awardees include changemakers from various industries who are making an impact in the areas of carbon, climate, equity, ESG, net zero, resilience, and more.

DESIGNING FOR DECARBONIZATION WORKSHOP

Want to know more about what it means to achieve “decarbonization” for your building project?
Verdical Group is partnering with Southern California Edison (SCE) to present Designing for Decarbonization, a half-day, virtual workshop that will help attendees:
- Understand the definition of decarbonization, zero net energy (ZNE), and zero net carbon (ZNC) buildings
- See case studies of completed projects
- Understand the design and construction process necessary to achieve high-performance buildings
The workshop will be presented by Verdical Group’s Drew Shula (Founder & CEO), Rebecca Ramsdale (Director of Projects), Bobby Almeida (Director of Commissioning), and Frank Schwamborn (Senior Project Manager & Energy Engineer).
PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS
Fourth and Central is a 10-building, mixed-use development designed by Studio One Eleven and Adjaye Associates and located in the Arts District of Downtown Los Angeles.
Verdical Group facilitated a charrette to prepare a sustainability approach narrative. Our team continues to work with Continuum Partners and the design team to advise on a global sustainability approach for the development.

Specializing in LEED, he is consistently furthering his knowledge of green building rating systems and staying on the cutting edge of meaningful building analysis.

Teja is an Energy Analyst for Verdical Group. She works with the project team to optimize buildings’ energy use and reach our client’s sustainability goals.
She specializes in daylight modeling in order to reduce demand for artificial lighting and increase indoor environmental quality.
Teja is a LEED Green Associate who is passionate about sustainability and enjoys using graphic design to educate others on sustainable practices.
MADISON PERRY
ASSOCIATE PROJECT MANAGER
Madison is an Associate Project Manager at Verdical Group. As a LEED AP BD+C, she works on a variety of projects, specializing in LEED certifications.
Her background in community development influenced her to become an advocate of People, Place, and Planet.
She is passionate about working to implement accessibility and affordability as it relates to sustainability information and infrastructure.
JORDAN KLOTZLE
SUSTAINABILITY PROPOSAL WRITER
Jordan is a Sustainability Proposal Writer at Verdical Group.
She is responsible for the development and coordination of project proposals. She collaborates with our client solutions and marketing teams to represent Verdical Group’s wide range of available services and project experience to prospective clients.
