USGBC Shares Highlights from NZ22

 

The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC)’s Senior Vice President of Marketing, Communications, and Advocacy Taryn Holowka recently wrote about her experience attending our 2022 Net Zero Conference this fall. 

“September’s Net Zero Conference felt like a long-awaited meeting of the green building minds,” she started off, referencing the return to in-person events, education, and expos after several years of virtual events. Holowka discussed her favorite sessions, like Arc Skoru’s “Decarbonizing Complex Portfolios,” and the keynote addresses from The event featured keynotes from Kate Williams, CEO of 1% for the Planet; Lakisha Ann Woods, CEO of the American Institute of Architects; Lindsay Baker, CEO of ILFI; and William Bridge, CEO of Global Green.

Holowka also presented her own session, “ESG and Green Building: What You Need to Know,” alongside Selina Holmes, Vice President of LEED Marketing at USGBC. The presentation focused on how green building factors into the growing field of ESG, a movement to invest in sustainable, resilient, and equitable systems and stocks.
