CASSIEL NORTIER-TILLY
LEED AP BD+C
Cassiel Nortier-Tilly is an Associate Project Manager I at Verdical Group. She works with the project management team to help clients secure green building certifications including LEED, Fitwel, CHPS, and WELL. She earned her M.S. in Ecology from the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB), where she led a two-year research project modeling host-parasite energy dynamics in marine systems to inform sustainable fishery management practices. By working directly with fishermen and stakeholders during her studies, she developed a deep appreciation for addressing real-world challenges and constraints when pursuing environmental solutions. This experience inspired her transition to the built environment, where she focuses on sustainability at the interface between people and their ecosystems.
During her graduate studies, she pursued coursework in LEED design strategies and certification, igniting her passion for regenerative design. Recently, Cassiel earned her LEED AP credential to enhance her ability to support and guide building efficiency, human health, and ecological resilience. She also completed USGBC’s Wildfire Rebuilding Training, further fueling her commitment to climate-resilient design. This training equips professionals to implement sustainable rebuilding practices in the wake of climate disasters.
Outside of her professional pursuits, Cassiel enjoys playing beach volleyball, exploring diverse cuisines, and diving into new hobbies, from discovering great books to learning martial arts techniques.
