Staff Spotlight: Kimmy Ngo

Verdical Group’s Staff Spotlight series highlights the incredible contributions that each of our team members make through their expertise. The series is also a great way to delve into what our team members do on a day-to-day basis to mitigate the climate crisis.
Meet Kimmy Ngo, Verdical Group’s Marketing and Events Associate! Kimmy earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies with an emphasis in Interpersonal and Organizational Communication from California State University Long Beach. She is responsible for creating marketing materials, coordinating partnerships, and assisting with the promotion of our client events and Verdical Group’s annual Net Zero Conference.
Kimmy’s day-to-day is a mixture of marketing design and event planning work. She creates graphics for social media, designs banners and expo booth materials, and makes updates to the website. She also provides support for our Verdical Events team in planning client events, as well as our own Net Zero Conference.
Verdical Group’s expo booth has been her favorite design project so far.
“I had almost full creative freedom,” she shared. “I designed our EZ-Up canopy, the banners, packaging for handouts; I determined the overall look of the booth itself, but also the smaller elements that make it up.”
Through her work with our Marketing and Events teams, Kimmy helps boost brand awareness and spread the word about our team’s contributions to the sustainability world.
“The more people we get working with us, the more we’re contributing to solving the climate crisis,” she explained. “Whether we’re doing sustainable events or working on the architecture and construction side, it’s helping make change.”
In addition to the creative vision she’s able to help execute, the company culture is one of Kimmy’s favorite aspects of her role at Verdical Group.
“I love that everybody is so passionate about what they do,” she said. “It’s such a collaborative environment, and we’re very mission-oriented.”
