PCL Glendale District Office is a 28,507-square-foot tenant improvement project located in Glendale, CA. Verdical Group worked with the PCL Construction Services team to provide:
The project was one of the first to achieve the Safety First: Re-Enter Your Workspace LEED pilot credit. The office space occupies the 15th and 16th floors of a 25-floor LEED EB: OM Platinum building in Glendale, CA. The tenant space consists of workstations, private offices, a huddle room, and a break area, all against a backdrop of downtown Los Angeles.
The new office includes an 80-person training room that opens up to communal spaces, such as the kitchenette and lounge. The open office concept boosts natural daylight and allows for more collaboration and improved synergy between departments.
The project reduced indoor water use by 44.13% and reduced energy consumption by 47.84%. In addition to installing ENERGY STAR equipment, PCL has offset their power and carbon use for 5-years. The project completed rigorous fundamental and enhanced commissioning to ensure that the building systems perform efficiently and accurately as intended in the design phase.
High-quality materials with low impact to human health and the environment were installed including FSC wood, recycled materials, low VOCs, materials with Take Back Programs and ingredient transparency certifications. PCL is committed to Green Building Education for all occupants and visitors by installing signage throughout the tenant space highlighting the LEED achievements on this project.
This project was featured in a GBCI LEED Project Spotlight.
