NOVO Construction Emissions Reporting & CDP Consulting

Verdical Group worked collaboratively with the NOVO Construction team to establish an emissions tracking protocol and a baseline emissions reporting process to aid in the efficient and accurate reporting of this data to clients.

Our team coordinated with the NOVO Construction to identify carbon emissions sources for their Menlo Park, San Francisco, South San Francisco, Novato, and Austin offices as well as emissions from their activities and any organizations under their control. We used standardized EPA emissions factors to provide NOVO with a breakdown of their emissions across the following scopes:

  • Scope 1 – Fuel combustion on site such as gas boilers, fleet vehicles and air-conditioning leaks.
  • Scope 2 – Indirect emissions from electricity purchased and used by the organization.
  • Scope 3 – All other indirect emissions from activities of the organization, occurring from sources that they do not own or control. These are usually the greatest share of the carbon footprint, covering emissions associated with business travel, procurement, waste, and water.

Our team also utilized the data and analysis gathered during the Emissions Reporting Consulting process to provide recommendations for ongoing data tracking and specific areas the team can target for emissions reduction.
