Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District’s (SMMUSD) new Malibu High School Building is an approximately 70,000-square-foot education project located in Malibu, CA. Verdical Group is providing:

  • Collaborative for High Performance Schools (CHPS) Verified Project Management
  • Energy Modeling (Title 24, CHPS, Net Zero)
  • Daylight Modeling
  • Net Zero Consulting

Verdical Group is collaborating with NAC Architecture to advise on sustainability measures to achieve Net Zero. The project will feature a library, multipurpose spaces, visual and performing arts classrooms, project based learning facilities, special education classrooms, STEM classrooms, a campus cafeteria, high school administration, and more to support a student body of 450 to 600 students.

In 2024, this project won an Award of Excellence in the Project in Design category of the CASH/AIA CA Leroy F. Greene Design & Planning Awards.
