Verdical Group is working with Holos Communities, a developer of efficient and sustainable affordable multifamily housing, to review their development standards and create a customized Sustainability Framework for their assets. 

 

The framework is intended to guide the sustainability approach for all future multifamily projects, providing their team with a shared roadmap designing efficient, sustainable homes. It will focus on tactics for carbon reduction, material selection, energy efficiency, and water conservation efforts, as well as operations and long-term performance. 

“One of the biggest challenges in project delivery is that important sustainability opportunities are often identified too late, when design decisions have already been made and changes become expensive or difficult to implement,” Holos’ Project Manager, Yulisa Chavez said. “The framework directly addresses this by emphasizing early action during the earliest stages of design, where project teams have the greatest ability to influence outcomes.
