LAX Terminal Cores & Nimoy Theater Amongst ENR CA’s Regional Best Projects
Engineering News Record (ENR) California has announced the winners of their annual Regional Best Projects competition, and we’re pleased to share that two of Verdical Group’s projects have been awarded.
Verdical Group’s Nimoy Theater project, which is located on the University of California Los Angeles’ campus, was named the Best Cultural/Worship project in Southern California. Our team provided LEED v4/4.1 Construction Phase Project Management, supporting Shawmut Design and Construction and the project team in earning a BD+C Gold certification. Due to sustainability goals and the historically protected status of the building, the decision was made early on to keep the majority of the existing building intact and reduce any embodied carbon associated with new construction.
Our LAX Terminal Cores project earned an Award of Merit in the Airport/Transit Southern California category. Verdical Group is providing LEED v4/v4.1 Construction Phase Project Management for Austin Commercial, LP, targeting BD+C Silver certification for the two Los Angeles World Airports’ (LAWA) terminal cores.
Projects are reviewed by an independent group of industry experts, who select 30 Best Projects and 27 Awards of Merit. Read the full list of winners here.
